About the Role

EHIF is seeking a TPE IV/ Senior Civil Engineer to manage all site construction activities for large-scale mining infrastructure projects. This full-time position requires over 10 years of experience and involves overseeing the entire project lifecycle from initial ground breaking through structural execution to final field handover, ensuring compliance with relevant engineering standards and safety regulations.

Project Responsibilities

The Senior Civil Engineer will lead pre-construction site assessments, surveys, and mobilization. Key responsibilities include managing extensive earthworks, bulk excavations, and grading operations, as well as verifying ground stabilization and soil compaction. The role also encompasses overseeing foundation pouring, structural steel and reinforced concrete installation for processing plants, and directing waterproofing, thermal insulation, and asset protection systems. Furthermore, the engineer will manage civil finishing works, including heavy-haul mining roads and access pavements, and coordinate utility trenching, pipelines, and containment pond construction.

Field Support and Oversight

This position requires providing real-time field engineering support and troubleshooting to minimize project downtime. The Senior Civil Engineer will enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols in conjunction with local regulatory bodies. Responsibilities also include reviewing engineering drawings and 3D models to resolve onsite design clashes and responding to technical queries (RFIs).

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and mandatory registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE). A minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy industrial construction, infrastructure, or mining projects is required. Familiarity with the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and local environmental laws is essential. The role demands deep knowledge of earthwork, geotechnical, structural steel, structural concrete, and hot-weather concreting practices.
