WSP is seeking an experienced Drainage Engineer to join our team for a significant road/highway project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Design and Analysis: Develop and review detailed designs for road and highway drainage systems. Perform hydraulic and hydrologic analysis using industry-standard software. Ensure compliance with local, national, and international design standards and regulations.
Supervision and Management: Supervise the construction and implementation of drainage systems on-site. Oversee contractor work to ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards. Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of drainage solutions.
Quality Control: Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure quality and safety standards are met. Resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during construction promptly. Prepare and review reports, documentation, and as-built drawings.
Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients, government authorities, and other stakeholders to address drainage-related concerns and requirements. Present design proposals and project updates to clients and stakeholders.
Environmental Compliance: Ensure all drainage designs are environmentally sustainable and comply with environmental regulations. Implement best practices for stormwater management and pollution control.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in drainage engineering, with a focus on road and highway projects.
- Proven experience in the supervision and management of drainage construction projects.
- Extensive knowledge of hydraulic and hydrologic analysis software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM, Civil 3D).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
