The role is responsible to assist the HSE Lead -Project in the implementation of HSE management system by supporting and providing technical expertise as needed with the objective of overall compliance with contractual obligations and relevant laws/ guidelines ensuring compliance to Project HSE Policies and Procedures.

• Supervise and lead daily site inspections including construction site as well as facilities.
• Assist the HSE Lead in promoting and supporting the effective delivery of the HSE induction and HSE training programs to the project workforce.
• Advise the management team on safety requirements and implementation on site.
• Verify implementation of permit to work system and pre-start briefings at the work locations under his responsibility.
• Carry out scheduled site inspections on a daily and weekly basis with the safety officer and construction supervisor assigned to the site locations.
• Maintain accurate and organized health and safety inspection and training records for his area of responsibility.
• Report any unsafe conditions, unsafe acts and incidents/ injuries resulting from work activities to HSE Lead.
• Draft presentations on health and safety performance, such as injury rates, lost time, and near misses etc.
• Work collaboratively with construction managers and engineers to address health and safety concerns.
• Review the MSRA and ensure HSE compliance during site set up.
• Assist with organizing health and safety meetings and visits at the site.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety organizational policies at the site 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve the departmental goals .
• Participate in accident investigations and assist the HSE Lead in preparation of all necessary reports.
• Assist the HSE Lead in planning and conducting site wide emergency drills and executing the project's safety and emergency plan/program.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the HSE Lead .

• A minimum of a diploma of engineering/science degree Holding a NEBOSH IGC certificate 
• Minimum 12 years' experience (with at least 5 years of delivery at the level of HSE supervisor)
