Commis Chef

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Commis Chef with 3–5 years of experience and a transferable Iqama to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will support daily food preparation and cooking under senior chefs, maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards, handle ingredient storage and rotation, prepare mise en place, follow recipes and portioning accurately, operate kitchen equipment safely, keep workstations clean and organized, assist with inventory and receiving goods, and ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods. Candidates must have solid basic cooking skills, the ability to work under pressure, good teamwork, flexibility with shifts, and a strong understanding of food hygiene practices (HACCP preferred). Experience in international or casual dining kitchens and strong knife and time-management skills are considered an advantage.


Skills

Strong knife skills, solid understanding of basic cooking techniques, good knowledge of food safety and hygiene (HACCP preferred), excellent mise en place discipline, ability to work efficiently under pressure, strong time-management and organization, effective communication, teamwork and reliability, adaptability in fast-paced kitchens, attention to detail in preparation and presentation, and a proactive attitude toward learning and improving.
