Job Purpose:
- The Specialist – Fleet Operations and Coordination is responsible for the seamless operation of AMAALA's fleet, ensuring the efficient, safe, and reliable transportation of staff, guests, and stakeholders.
- This role requires effective planning, coordination, and management of fleet operations, including vehicles such as Sedans and mini-buses.
- The specialist will oversee daily fleet management tasks, address operational challenges, collaborate with internal and external teams, and ensure adherence to service standards.
- The role also involves contributing to the optimization of fleet resources, improving operational processes, and ensuring the highest level of service delivery across the fleet.
Job Responsibilities:
Coordinate Daily Fleet Operations
- Ensure the smooth and efficient daily operation of all vehicles within the fleet, including, fleet cars, and mini- buses.
- Manage fleet scheduling, dispatch, and routing, ensuring all vehicles are operating according to plan and available when needed.
- Address operational challenges such as delays, maintenance issues, or service disruptions promptly, minimizing impact on operations.
Service Management
- Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) and operational standards are met.
- Monitor fleet performance, ensuring that vehicles are maintained to the highest standards, and addressing any deviations in service delivery.
- Work closely with the maintenance team to resolve any performance issues, including vehicle breakdowns, delays, or quality complaints.
Fleet Performance and Maintenance Coordination
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure timely and effective servicing of fleet vehicles, maintaining a proactive approach to avoid breakdowns or delays.
- Track and monitor fleet utilization, ensuring that all vehicles are used effectively and efficiently to meet operational needs.
- Perform regular fleet audits to ensure that all vehicles meet safety and regulatory standards.
Operational Reporting and Data Management
- Compile, analyze, and report data on fleet performance, including vehicle utilization, service disruptions, and maintenance activities.
- Provide weekly and monthly operational reports to the manager, highlighting key performance metrics, challenges, and areas for improvement.
- Assist with forecasting fleet requirements, optimizing resource allocation based on historical data and operational demands.
Fleet Scheduling and Optimization
- Work with management to develop and optimize fleet schedules and routes, adjusting based on changes in demand, operational needs, and service levels.
- Identify opportunities for fleet resource optimization, improving fleet efficiency and reducing costs without compromising service quality.
- Ensure that vehicle scheduling aligns with staff, guest, and operational requirements, ensuring uninterrupted service delivery.
Qualification and Experience:
- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in using scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
- Prior experience in managing and resolving transportation-related issues is a plus.
