H2S Specialist I

• Develop Health and Safety Management Plan and oversee implementation.

• Conduct safety inspections/audits, occupational health surveys and auditing for compliance.

• Devise and implement Emergency Response and Rescue Plan.

• Inspection & approval of new equipment at vendor’s site.

• Conduct investigation of all accidents/ Occupational health issues and suggest recommendations.

• Development and implementation of Site H2S contingency plans.

• Monitoring activities during critical operations and activities

• Analyze and perform all onsite project services including personnel resources, hazard assessments, crew orientations, training, & drills.

• Ensures quality of project equipment and personnel by conducting ongoing audits.

Maintains equipment inventory & operability in accordance with the and company instructions, training and established quality control program.
• Provide technical expertise on QHSE related matters to the organization to safe operational demands as required.
• Provide technical expertise on safety related to the operation modules, mainten department and project group by consulting on work permitting issues, includinwork and confined space entries and participating in issuing permits as required

 

 


Job Summary:
The H2S Specialist I is responsible for monitoring and maintaining safe levels of hydrogen sulfide gas in various work environments to prevent harm to personnel and equipment.

Job Responsibility:
- Conduct routine monitoring of hydrogen sulfide levels in designated work areas.
- Implement safety procedures and protocols for handling hydrogen sulfide gas.
- Maintain and calibrate monitoring equipment to ensure accurate readings.
- Train personnel on safety measures and response protocols in case of H2S exposure.
- Collaborate with other safety professionals to create comprehensive emergency response plans.

Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor\'s degree in a related field such as Environmental Science or Occupational Health and Safety.
- Certification in H2S safety training.
- Prior experience working with H2S monitoring equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
