Job Summary
To install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, ensure network connectivity, provide basic troubleshooting, and support users. They manage device relocation, maintain inventory, and apply system updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport devices from the warehouse to designated locations.
- Install and configure IT equipment such as computers, printers, networking devices, and peripherals.
- Ensure devices are connected to the company’s network (wired or wireless) and functioning properly.
- Install operating systems, required software, and security patches.
- Test network connectivity to access shared drives, email, and company applications.
- Resolve basic connectivity issues, including network cables, Wi-Fi, and IP configurations.
- Provide basic troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist users with setup and minor IT problems.
- Relocate IT equipment between departments or buildings as needed, ensuring proper cable management during transportation and redistribution.
- Maintain an updated inventory of IT devices, ensuring proper tagging and tracking.
- Record details of new installations and relocations in the inventory database.
- Document configurations, network connections, and changes made to devices.
- Perform regular checks to ensure devices are functioning correctly.
Qualification
- 1-2 Years experience in IT support
- Knowledge of basic computer hardware and software.
- Familiarity with networking concepts, including IP addressing and network connections.
- Experience with installing and configuring operating systems (Windows, macOS, etc.)
