On behalf an international construction company that specializes in delivering cutting-edge solutions in insulated building technologies we are seeking a QC/QA Engineer (Eps Manufacturing)
- Implement and manage effective process and product controls to ensure product quality.
- Resolve daily in-process quality issues and provide solutions using problem-solving techniques (e.g., 8D, DMAIC).
- Evaluate and monitor raw material, in-process, and finished goods to meet customer and regulatory requirement.
- Lead investigations and resolutions for internal nonconformances, customer complaints, and supplier quality concerns.
- Capture and maintain Quality scorecard metrics and recommend improvements with the goal of transitioning the organization from a reactive to a proactive culture.
- Develop and lead internal product/process quality audit system, including closing out audit findings and reporting results to management.
- Design systems for recording and analysing product quality levels and interpret and report trends and improvement plans as part of the Quality Operating System.
- Create, modify, and implement sampling plans, quality standards, and process control instructions.
- Maintain a calibration system for measurement equipment to support production and QA needs
- Review new product designs and processes to ensure quality of design and conformance requirements.
- Mentor production operators and other team members to improve application of manufacturing standards and reaction in the event of deviation.
- Travel to customer locations to assess product quality and functionality as needed.
- Submit parts approval documentation and provide technical support to customers.
- Analyze and address customer complaints by utilizing cause-and-effect analysis and 5 Whys troubleshooting techniques
- Perform routine laboratory testing and ensure accurate data collection
Skills
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: ANY combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other software tools.
- Proactive problem-solving skills with demonstrated initiative in addressing quality issues.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in all tasks.
- Proficient in using measuring devices (e.g., gauges, meters, calipers) and interpreting blueprints with CAD software, preferably AutoCAD.
- Comprehensive understanding of EPS manufacturing processes and industry standards.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement methodologies.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
- Physical stamina to stand or walk for extended periods.
