The Senior Legal Consultant is a cornerstone in guiding the company’s legal and strategic initiatives, offering expert advice to ensure full compliance with laws and regulations while empowering business growth. This role is critical for building and maintaining strong local and international partnerships, safeguarding the company’s interests, and protecting its intellectual property. As a trusted advisor, the consultant not only ensures legal rigor but also aligns legal strategies with the organization’s vision and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Legal Documentation and Advisory
- Draft, review, and negotiate high-value contracts, agreements, and MoUs, with an emphasis on fostering robust local and global partnerships.
- Ensure all legal documents adhere to corporate policies while effectively protecting the company’s interests.
- Translate complex legal terms into actionable advice for stakeholders at all levels.
2. Strategic Partnership Management
- Provide expert legal counsel on initiating, managing, and strengthening partnerships across government entities, private organizations, and international stakeholders.
- Ensure all agreements align with local and international legal frameworks to foster sustainable collaboration.
- Act as a key negotiator to build mutually beneficial relationships with strategic partners.
3. Regulatory Compliance and Advisory
- Monitor and interpret changes in regulatory landscapes, including Saudi Companies Law and Government Tenders and Procurement Law.
- Ensure that all company activities and partnerships remain compliant with applicable regulations.
- Develop proactive measures to mitigate compliance risks.
4. Risk Management and Mitigation
- Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks in contracts, partnerships, and other critical business activities.
- Create comprehensive risk assessment reports with actionable insights to guide decision-making.
5. Intellectual Property Protection
- Advise on intellectual property rights, including copyrights, trademarks, and patents, to ensure the company’s innovations and assets are safeguarded.
- Draft robust intellectual property clauses for local and international contracts to secure ownership rights.
6. Litigation and Dispute Resolution
- Represent the company in judicial proceedings, arbitration, or dispute resolution forums, particularly in contract-related conflicts or partnership disagreements.
- Develop strategic legal approaches and prepare all necessary documentation for litigation.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of legal consulting experience, with at least 5 years specializing in corporate law and partnership management.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Law (mandatory).
- Master’s degree in Law (highly preferred).
Language Proficiency:
- Fluency in English and Arabic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
