The Security & Safety Supervisor acts as an advisor regarding safety and security at the warehouse/stores. By implementing the appropriate safeguards/tools for the protection of company assets, personnel, training, product, and visitors. The Supervisor is responsible for addressing safety and security concerns with the management, identifying of key risks, developing safe working practices, the key safety behavior and the scorecard for success.

• Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and ensuring they are always understood and practiced by the team.
• Ensure security of Warehouse environment and always maintain access control.
• Review and track progress of the Safety Star Program as well as the Corporate Security Program to ensure compliance and proper documentation.
• Audit monthly warehouse inspections, document findings, and follow up to ensure that actions are taken to correct safety-related discrepancies.
• Audit selective accident, loss, and theft reports, analyze trends, and supervisor investigations.
• Identify preventative measures, present recommendations to senior management and implement corrective action plans.
• Delegates tasks and assigns workload to team leaders where applicable to ensure optimum and full control over staff productivity
• Ensure that warehouse meets local safety regulations and security policies.
• Maintain disciplinary action log of those associates that violate these standards.
• Implement emergency action plans and schedule regular emergency evacuation drills.
• Administer all aspects of drug/alcohol testing program (random, post-injury, post-accident).
• Develop and maintain a working knowledge of warehouse operations and the procedures for receiving stocking, inventory control, order picking, and shipping.
• Develop go-to contacts in each operational group for security related issues.
• Manage the security budget and ensure that systems are maintained and operational and that necessary security coverage is provided.
• Carrying out supervisory and management functions and responsibilities, including Training of new staff, daily site inspections, maintaining compliance and discipline of site staff performance of staff evaluations on a regular basis.
• All other safety and security related duties and responsibilities that may be required.
• Perform any other related duties as required.
