We are supporting a major retail organisation in the appointment of a Head of FP&A to lead financial planning and performance analysis across its regional fulfilment and distribution operations.
THIS ROLE WILL BE BASED IN KUWAIT.
Based in Kuwait, this senior position will partner closely with regional supply chain, logistics, e-commerce and operational leadership teams. The successful candidate will provide the financial insight, forecasting and commercial analysis required to improve performance and support continued regional growth.
This is a forward-looking FP&A role rather than a traditional financial accounting position. It requires someone who can translate operational data into clear commercial recommendations and help senior leaders make better-informed decisions.
Key responsibilities Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning for the regional fulfilment operation. Develop financial models covering capacity, network expansion, automation and infrastructure investment. Analyse fulfilment costs, labour productivity, inventory movement and operational efficiency. Monitor KPIs including cost per order, cost per unit, warehouse productivity and delivery performance. Produce regular performance reporting, variance analysis and forward-looking commentary. Partner with supply chain, logistics, e-commerce and fulfilment leaders across multiple markets. Support scenario planning and sensitivity analysis for major operational decisions. Evaluate business cases relating to new facilities, automation, 3PL partnerships and last-mile delivery. Identify financial risks, performance gaps and cost-optimisation opportunities. Improve the quality, consistency and visibility of management information across the regional network. Present complex financial and operational information clearly to senior leadership. Lead and develop the FP&A function supporting fulfilment operations.
Candidate profile Significant experience in a senior FP&A, commercial finance or finance business-partnering position. Strong exposure to fulfilment centres, logistics, distribution, retail, e-commerce or supply chain operations. Experience supporting a multi-site, multi-country or regional business. Advanced financial modelling, forecasting and scenario-planning capabilities. Strong understanding of operational cost drivers and performance metrics. Able to challenge assumptions and influence senior operational stakeholders. Commercially minded, analytical and comfortable working with large volumes of financial and operational data. Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP, planning and business-intelligence systems. A recognised finance qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent is preferred. Previous GCC experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
