Parsons is seeking an experienced Engineer (Systems) Platform Screen Doors (PSD) to lead the team in delivering the Platform Screen Doors system. In this role, you will supervise the construction team in all PSD-related activities during the construction preparation, construction, testing, and commissioning phases. Reporting to the Lead PSD, the Engineer (Systems) Platform Screen Doors will be responsible for ensuring the design is delivered to the required quality, within budget, and on schedule.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Supervise the team and the contractor on health, safety and environmental management requirement
• Interfacing with internal and external (rolling stock, signaling, construction other) and the client
• Reviewing and accepting the Design-Build (DB) contractor s design and working drawings, interface documentation, and method statements
• Supervising the construction of the Platform Screen Doors and ensuring their compliance to the client s requirements
• Monitoring the construction phase of the project and, planning the supervision of installation and ensuring a quality product is installed safely and on time
• Liaising with internal project teams to resolve interface issues, in particular Civil, Track work and Systems
• Reporting on progress, looking at potential commercial issues and feeding information directly to the claims teams
• Providing weekly and ad-hoc installation progress reports
• Overseeing Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) approvals and RAMS assessments and complex safety analysis as part of the design safety case for the platform screen doors
• Managing and supervising the DB contractors works inclusive of installation testing prior to handover of the Platform Screen Door Systems to the Testing & Commissioning Team

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronic Engineering or related discipline
• 10 years experience on major civil projects
• Demonstrable track record in the design, installation, delivery, testing and operation of Platform Screen Doors
• Experience in managing the delivery of PSD works to quality, budget and schedule requirements
• Knowledge of international standards applicable to PSD
• Familiar with railway operational requirements and rail safety
• Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems including system assurance, manufacturing and quality processes, health and safety
• Fully conversant with all current installation practices and health and safety legislation and standards
• Must be used to working to and reporting against a contracted schedule
• Must be able to work under pressure and make on-site decisions to progress the works.
• Excellent written and verbal English communications skills.
• Experience of working in the GCC

Desired Candidate Profile

Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronic Engineering or related discipline

10 years experience on major civil projects

Demonstrable track record in the design, installation, delivery, testing and operation of Platform Screen Doors

Experience in managing the delivery of PSD works to quality, budget and schedule requirements
