About the Role

Al-bilad for Consultancies & Solutions is seeking a Full-time Artificial Intelligence Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is for a hands-on Senior AI Engineer responsible for designing, building, and deploying enterprise AI solutions. Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in the field.

Role Purpose

The Artificial Intelligence Engineer will focus on leveraging advanced AI technologies, including Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Agentic AI. This position requires a strong combination of AI expertise and robust software engineering skills, with a proven track record of taking AI applications from initial concept through to successful production deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop production-grade Generative AI and LLM applications.
• Build and optimize RAG pipelines, covering document processing, chunking, embeddings, retrieval, reranking, and response generation.
• Design and implement AI agents and agentic workflows capable of reasoning, tool calling, and interaction with enterprise systems.
• Develop AI capabilities for enterprise search, Q&A, summarization, document analysis, extraction, and decision support.
• Integrate AI solutions with various platforms, including APIs, databases, document repositories, search platforms, and enterprise applications.
• Develop APIs and reusable AI services to support multiple applications and use cases.
• Optimize prompts, retrieval strategies, model selection, context management, latency, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Implement AI evaluation frameworks to assess accuracy, hallucination, retrieval quality, task success, and overall performance.
• Implement guardrails and controls to address AI security risks such as prompt injection, data leakage, and inappropriate tool usage.
• Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve AI applications in production environments.

Required Skills and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience as an AI Engineer or in a related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Agentic AI.
• Strong background in software engineering principles and practices.
• Proven ability to take AI applications from initial concept through to production deployment.

Work Setting

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within Al-bilad for Consultancies & Solutions. The role involves working hands-on to deliver advanced AI solutions for enterprise clients.
