About the Role

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority is seeking a GM Advisor to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves providing expert consultancy to develop key objectives within public administration, overseeing related activities and initiatives, and establishing robust frameworks for performance assessment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the enhancement and analysis of public administration services, identifying opportunities for development and improving delivery mechanisms.
• Contribute to the formulation of the internal affairs work plan, ensuring its alignment with the Authority's overarching strategy.
• Develop the operational plan for planning and development, integrating it with the internal affairs business plan and strategic objectives.
• Provide strategic recommendations and suggestions for new business and service expansion opportunities, focusing on enhancing beneficiary satisfaction.
• Implement plans and provide essential inputs to achieve planning and development objectives that support the Authority's strategic goals.
• Review comprehensive reports, identify challenges, and offer advice on critical future issues and initiatives.

Financial and Operational Oversight

• Discuss budget requirements for planning and development with senior management, providing informed input to the budgeting process.
• Ensure the optimal utilization of the planning and development budget and deliver accurate reports on progress and encountered challenges.
• Validate initiatives and propose the implementation of those expected to yield positive financial results for planning and development, while mitigating financial and operational risks.
• Adhere to all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and correct execution of work.

Collaboration and Support

• Assist in resolving escalated issues and provide necessary support to less experienced teams to maintain efficient workflow.
• Escalate complex problems to the appropriate personnel to ensure timely and effective resolution.
• Perform additional tasks as required by the demands of the role.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience in a similar advisory or public administration development role.
