Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead medical planning and space programming for healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, and specialized medical centers.
  • Develop functional layouts for clinical departments such as Operating Rooms (OR), Intensive Care Units (ICU), Imaging, Emergency Departments, Outpatient Clinics, Inpatient Units, Laboratories, and Administrative Areas.
  • Collaborate with clinicians, hospital administrators, architects, engineers, and consultants to translate clinical workflows into efficient and patient-centered designs.
  • Prepare space programs, adjacency diagrams, room data sheets, and departmental planning documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare design standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements, including NFPA, ADA, JCIA, and local healthcare regulations.
  • Coordinate medical equipment planning with architectural, MEP, and engineering teams.
  • Review architectural and engineering drawings to ensure alignment with healthcare planning requirements.
  • Participate in all project phases from concept design through schematic, detailed design, construction documentation, site coordination, and commissioning.
  • Support design reviews, technical workshops, and client presentations.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize healthcare facility functionality, patient safety, operational efficiency, and future flexibility.

Minimum Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Healthcare Design, or a related field.
  • Master's Degree in Architecture, Healthcare Planning, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Professional certification or specialized training in healthcare facility planning or healthcare design guidelines is an advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in healthcare planning, hospital architecture, or medical facility design.
  • Proven experience in space programming and planning for hospitals, medical centers, and healthcare facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare design standards, including NFPA 99, ADA, JCIA, and applicable local healthcare regulations.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office applications; experience with Smartsheet is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with medical equipment planning software and data-driven space planning tools.
  • Ability to interpret clinical workflows and develop efficient, code-compliant healthcare facility layouts.
  • Good understanding of healthcare MEP coordination, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, presentation, and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
