About Lucidya and the Role

Lucidya, a leading AI company, specializes in building intelligent solutions that enhance customer experience. As the company expands into a new AI-focused business line, we are seeking an AI Team Lead / AI Technical Manager to lead the development of our next flagship product: a fully scalable AI Agent platform. This full-time position is based in Riyadh.

Role Overview

This role offers an opportunity for a builder who thrives in environments focused on creating new initiatives from the ground up. The AI Team Lead / AI Technical Manager will drive the vision, architecture, and execution of AI Agent initiatives, while also mentoring a growing team of engineers. This position is pivotal in shaping an entirely new line of business, involving close collaboration with senior leadership, including the CEO, CTO, and General Manager, to transform innovative concepts into scalable, revenue-generating AI solutions. The ideal candidate will be adept at navigating ambiguity and translating ideas into high-impact products.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of a new AI Agent platform, with a focus on customer service applications.
• Ensure the product is scalable for multiple enterprise clients and meets growth metrics, targeting approximately $1M ARR by year-end.
• Manage multiple client engagements concurrently, ensuring successful project delivery.
• Manage and expand the AI infrastructure to support scalability and performance.
• Manage and mentor a team of AI/ML engineers, starting with three members and planning for growth.
• Establish robust practices, structure workflows, and address impediments to maintain project momentum.
• Contribute to building and maintaining reusable AI services to accelerate high-quality development.
• Collaborate with the General Manager of the business unit and the Senior Director of AI to align on priorities and deliverables.
• Communicate complex AI concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Influence decisions through data-driven insights, clarity, and strategic thinking.
• Establish structure, processes, and reliable execution rhythms within a fast-moving, early-stage environment.
• Define team collaboration models, planning strategies, and processes for delivering high-quality releases.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence in guiding and influencing senior leaders.
• Hands-on experience in building AI Agents and a comprehensive understanding of their technical capabilities and limitations.
• Proven ability to initiate and build projects from conception to completion.
• Outstanding communication skills, capable of simplifying complex concepts.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset, maintaining composure under pressure.

Initial Success Metrics (Within 90-120 Days)

• Develop a clear scaling plan for AI Agents.
• Actively contribute to the team's efforts in delivering AI Agents for customers.
• Establish operating rhythms, processes, and collaboration models across engineering, product, and leadership teams.
• Acquire a strong understanding of the local business environment and adapt effectively to regional cultural nuances.
