The Role of Demand Planner Senior Specialist

Basamh Group is seeking a Demand Planner Senior Specialist to join our team. This full-time role is essential for ensuring accurate inventory levels and meeting customer requirements efficiently. The specialist will be responsible for forecasting and planning product demand while adhering to service level and cost-efficiency constraints.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and promotional activities to generate precise demand forecasts.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and category teams to integrate business insights into demand planning processes.
• Engage with the sales team to collect and validate forecast inputs in alignment with Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle timelines.
• Ensure timely updates of forecast numbers within the system, following the IBP cycle calendar.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive demand plans utilizing specialized forecasting tools and ERP systems.
• Monitor forecast accuracy, analyze deviations, and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
• Support the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process by providing critical demand data and insights.
• Maintain and update forecasting models to enhance predictability and responsiveness.
• Clearly communicate demand forecasts and any changes to supply planning and procurement teams.
• Ensure accurate monthly forecast reflection within the system.
• Participate in new product launches and promotional planning to establish appropriate demand projections.
• Generate regular reports and dashboards detailing demand trends, forecast accuracy, and inventory status.
• Assist in resolving demand-supply mismatches and stock-related issues through cross-functional collaboration.
• Continuously improve forecasting processes and tools by incorporating feedback and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Statistics, or a closely related field.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in demand planning or a similar analytical role.
