Role Overview

AECOM is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its team. This full-time position involves performing specific and moderate portions of broader assignments within water infrastructure engineering. The role requires developmental experience in a professional water infrastructure engineering capacity, focusing on electrical aspects of water systems.

Responsibilities

• Gather and correlate water systems engineering data, including hydraulic analysis, treatment processes, and distribution networks, using established procedures.
• Work on detailed or routine water infrastructure engineering assignments involving hydraulic calculations, structural assessments, and system performance tests.
• Propose approaches to solve new water infrastructure challenges by modifying standard procedures or methods from previous assignments.
• Identify discrepancies in water quality, system performance, and infrastructure integrity results.
• Provide guidance to entry-level engineers on water and infrastructure engineering best practices.
• Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with minimal supervision, ensuring compliance with water infrastructure standards and regulations.
• Independently complete all tasks necessary for primary design elements for water infrastructure works, including treatment facilities, distribution systems, and wastewater management projects.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated developmental experience in a professional water infrastructure engineering position.
• Ability to apply established procedures for data gathering and correlation.
• Proficiency in hydraulic calculations, structural assessments, and system performance testing related to water infrastructure.
• Capability to adapt standard procedures to solve new engineering challenges.
• Strong understanding of water infrastructure standards and regulations.
