Role Overview

The Geologist is responsible for providing geological expertise and support for optimal mining practices within Ma'aden's operations. This position involves direct site work, comprehensive data management, and collaboration with various teams to ensure efficient and compliant geological processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
• Conduct geological and structural mapping and sampling of the mine.
• Assist in the collection and analysis of geological data.
• Manage samplers and spotters on site, collect data, and prepare end-of-shift reports.
• Perform Ore markups and supervise ROMPAD to ensure bleeding plan execution.
• Support the Senior Mine Geologist with grade control prediction, BMM, and daily mine operation reporting.
• Assist the mine geologist in RC grade control drilling planning.
• Manage daily RCGC site operations and ensure sample quality.
• Perform RCGC logging, follow up with the lab for sample dispatch, and conduct database validation.
• Utilize geological software for data analysis and interpretation.
• Maintain accurate records of geological findings and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Collaborate with mining engineers and other professionals on site.
• Compile weekly geology reports and monthly operations data.
• Interpret gathered data, information, logs, and samples borehole drill cores using accepted geological techniques.
• Support model-mine-mill reconciliation and apply results to improve Resource Models.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report the performance of direct reports.
• Monitor, evaluate, and apply current industry technical and operational best practices in geosciences.
• Organize processes for geological support across all mines.

Required Experience and Knowledge

• 2-5 years of experience in a relevant geological role.
• Proficiency in Mine Safety Regulations and Industry Best Practices.
• Knowledge of relational databases, technology, and industry standards related to the collection and storage of Production Geology data.
