Role Summary

Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH) is seeking a Care Assistant 3 to join its Nursing department. This full-time role involves providing essential non-clinical assistance to Nursing Service personnel, performing routine duties, facilitating patient transport, and contributing to a clean and safe environment. The position is based in designated Unit/Clinics across JHAH Organizations in Dhahran, Al-Ahsa, Ras Tannurah, Buqayq, and Udhailiyah.

Key Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of nursing staff, the Care Assistant 3 performs a range of activities aligned with JHAH's philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures. These responsibilities include:

• Distribute and collect patients' food trays.
• Assist with the transport and moving of patients both within the assigned unit and throughout the medical facility as a non-clinical porter.
• Make up fresh beds and strip soiled linen from occupied beds.
• Provide comfort measures during procedures if chaperoning and ensure the area is cleaned after the procedure.
• Assist nurses and other staff as needed within their job description.
• Deliver urgent forms and specimens when required.

Operational Support and Environment Maintenance

• Trace and record all unit material and equipment movements as directed.
• Responsible for stock inventory as directed by the charge nurse.
• Support unit material and supplies retrieval and inventory.
• Responsible for equipment cleanliness, functionality, and inventory; report and remove broken equipment from the unit and deliver to the repair area.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment by keeping the unit clean and disposing of soiled/contaminated items appropriately.
• Maintain infection control and safety awareness.

Work Setting and Professional Conduct

This role requires working various hours during assigned shifts within designated Unit/Clinics. The Care Assistant 3 is expected to practice within established standards, policies, and procedures, ensuring all activities align with JHAH's operational framework.

Experience and Development

Candidates should possess 12 years of relevant experience. Continuous professional growth is supported through participation in staff mandatory training and development programs, including fire and disaster drills and mock codes, to enhance personal growth and development.
