About the Role: AVP - Cybersecurity

SALIC - Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company is seeking an experienced AVP - Cybersecurity to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role is central to developing, executing, and maintaining the company's cybersecurity posture, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

Role Purpose and Strategic Alignment

The AVP - Cybersecurity is responsible for establishing and evolving SALIC’s Information Security and Cybersecurity strategy. This involves developing robust cybersecurity frameworks that protect critical information systems and support the company's overall strategic goals against present and emerging cyber threats.

Key Functional Responsibilities

• Develop and implement cybersecurity policies, processes, and procedures to secure SALIC’s critical information systems, resist breach attempts, and continuously improve against cyber threats.
• Manage the cybersecurity governance framework, including key structures and procedures, to ensure compliance with relevant information security standards and regulations.
• Oversee compliance with regulations, standards, and codes of good practice related to cybersecurity, information assurance, and data protection.
• Assess, monitor, and manage relevant cybersecurity risks, and detect, analyze, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity incidents to protect valuable and classified information.
• Provide advice and guidance on cybersecurity matters, offering an independent perspective on risk levels, mitigation activities, and emerging cybersecurity risks.
• Manage the protection of SALIC’s information and information systems in terms of confidentiality, integrity, and availability through security planning and governing the risk assessment process.
• Develop and strengthen department resources with the objective of constantly improving the organization's information and cyber security posture.
• Plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade security measures for the protection of the organization's data, systems, and networks.
• Monitor adherence and compliance to information security policies and procedures, and monitor cybersecurity to safeguard SALIC against potential risks and ensure information assets and technologies are protected.

Managerial Accountabilities

• Provide input to the sector’s strategy from the Department's or Section's perspective, in line with SALIC’s overall vision and mission.
• Develop the Department's or Section's objectives, KPIs, and annual operational plans, ensuring plan execution meets targets.
• Contribute to the preparation of the Department's or Section's annual budget and monitor its financial performance.
• Implement and execute the Department's or Section's policies and procedures.
• Oversee the overall performance of the section and ensure KPIs are well developed, cascaded, communicated, and monitored.
• Ensure effective staffing, professional development, and deployment of staff within the Department or Section in consultation with the Sector Executive or SVP.

Required Experience

Candidates for this full-time position should possess 7-10 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity or information security roles.
