About the Learning Experience Head Teacher - Sciences Role

Noon Academy, a leading edtech platform in the Middle East, is seeking a Learning Experience Head Teacher - Sciences (National Curriculum). This full-time role is based in Riyadh and requires over 10 years of professional experience. Noon Academy serves over 12 million students and teachers, focusing on transforming the classroom experience through engaging social, group-based learning and AI to enhance learning efficacy.

Role Context and Impact

The company operates hybrid classrooms across Saudi Arabia, where a remote star teacher leads sessions, students attend in physical classrooms, and an in-room facilitator supports the environment. This Head Teacher position is an academic role for the National track sciences, focusing on curriculum development, quality assurance, and teacher coaching. The role emphasizes academic judgment to impact thousands of students daily, distinct from departmental administration or headcount management.

Core Responsibilities

• Curriculum & Term Planning (50%): Collaborate with the design team to define curriculum topics, weighting, and the overall term and year plan. This includes reviewing final lessons built within the system.
• Coaching Delivery Teachers (30%): Provide coaching to teachers on content delivery, managing hybrid classrooms, and maintaining student engagement through digital platforms. This involves observation, feedback, and follow-up to improve teaching practices.
• Delivering Lessons (20%): Teach sessions periodically to stay connected with the content, observe its practical application, and gather direct student feedback. This is not a regular teaching roster position.

Detailed Duties

• Ensure the academic quality of the science curriculum for Middle School and High School on the National track, covering topic sequencing, weighting, depth, and alignment with student assessments.
• Develop and sign off on term and year plans in collaboration with Design Leads before production.
• Conduct final reviews of built lessons as the ultimate academic gatekeeper before they are delivered to students.
• Coach and develop the delivery teaching bench for assigned subjects, integrating with the Learning Excellence observation and evaluation cycle.
• Analyze assessment data (Diagnostics, Exit Tickets, End-of-Chapter results, Learning Gain) and translate insights into curriculum adjustments for subsequent terms.
• Serve as the academic representative in cross-functional discussions with Design, Learning Excellence, Product, and Data teams.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of direct classroom teaching experience, with comprehensive knowledge across both middle school and high school levels.
• 3–5 years of experience managing or coaching other teachers, such as a head of department, subject lead, mentor, or in a formal coaching capacity.
• Familiarity with Saudi national assessments, including Qudurat, Tahsili, and Nafes.
• Demonstrated digital capability and comfort teaching in a digital environment, suitable for a hybrid classroom delivered through a platform.
• A coaching certification or completion of a formal teacher training program.
• Experience with international curricula, in addition to local curricula.
• Familiarity with international assessment frameworks such as PISA, TIMSS, and PIRLS, and their implications for teaching.
• Experience utilizing AI in teaching practices or curriculum development.
• Prior experience with hybrid, blended, or remote instruction models.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position. Candidates must be based in Riyadh or prepared to relocate to the city.
