About the Role

Al Dossary Trading & Real Estate is seeking a Site Engineer to join its project team in Dammam. This full-time position involves managing daily site activities, supervising works, and coordinating with subcontractors to ensure projects, particularly commercial fit-out works, are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. The role offers a salary range of $1,500 - $2,000.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities, ensuring works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Monitor site progress and report regularly to the Project Manager.
• Manage and supervise commercial fit-out activities, including interior finishes, ceiling systems, partitions, flooring, joinery, carpentry, and MEP coordination with finishing works.
• Review, coordinate, and follow up on shop drawings and material submittals, ensuring all site works align with approved shop drawings.
• Assign daily tasks to foremen and subcontractors, track progress, and conduct internal handovers between trades.
• Prepare and manage handover packages for completed areas, including snag lists, test reports, and inspection approvals, and coordinate final handover with the client/consultant.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, attending site meetings and preparing progress updates.
• Implement QA/QC procedures on site, conduct inspections, and ensure rectification of defects and closure of snags.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and overall project requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of relevant experience as a Site Engineer.
• Proven experience in commercial fit-out projects, including offices, retail spaces, restaurants, hotels, and showrooms.
• Hands-on experience in site supervision, task allocation and work planning, handover procedures and snagging, and coordination of shop drawings and technical submittals.
• Certification in construction management or site supervision is an advantage.

Essential Skills and Competencies

• Strong ability to read and interpret Architectural, Structural, and MEP drawings.
• Solid knowledge of fit-out construction methods and materials.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Familiarity with Project schedules, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and Quality Control procedures.
• Ability to supervise subcontractors and site teams effectively, distribute daily tasks, and monitor performance.
• Experience in managing internal and external handovers and preparing comprehensive handover documents.
• Good knowledge of QA/QC procedures and site safety regulations, with the ability to conduct inspections and enforce safety compliance.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills.
• Excellent communication (verbal & written), time management, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• High level of professionalism, responsibility, and attention to detail.

Work Environment and Additional Information

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Willingness to work extended hours when required by project demands.
• Experience working in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region is an advantage.
• A valid driving license is a plus.
