Job Description – Head Waiter The Head Waiter is responsible for overseeing daily food and beverage service operations while ensuring high standards of hospitality and guest satisfaction. This role involves coordinating table service, supervising the waiting staff, and monitoring the accuracy and timely delivery of orders. Key responsibilities include managing reservations, responding to guest inquiries, handling complaints professionally, presenting the menu, and recommending suitable food and beverage options. The Head Waiter also works closely with the kitchen team to ensure a smooth service flow, maintains the cleanliness and organization of service areas, and ensures compliance with company policies, food safety, and occupational health standards. The Head Waiter is expected to demonstrate excellent service behavior, support and guide team members, assist in training new employees, provide performance feedback, and contribute to the continuous improvement of service quality and the overall guest experience. Qualifications and Requirements Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and professional etiquette. Previous experience in food and beverage operations, with good knowledge of menus and service standards. Experience in table service, order management, and reservation handling. Effective verbal and written communication skills when dealing with guests and team members. Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking methods to communicate effectively with the kitchen and explain menu items to guests. Previous experience in hotels, restaurants, or the hospitality industry is highly preferred. Ability to supervise, guide, train, and support the service team. Strong organizational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to use point-of-sale systems, reservation software, scheduling tools, and internal communication platforms. Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic or any additional language is an advantage. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and peak seasons as required.
