Job Summary The Dentist is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and preventing oral health conditions while delivering high-quality dental care to patients. The role helps promote oral health, improve patient outcomes, and ensure compliance with clinical standards, infection prevention protocols, and hospital policies.
Key Responsibilities Examine, diagnose, and treat patients with dental and oral health conditions Perform routine and restorative dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, preventive care, and other treatments within the scope of practice Develop individualized treatment plans and educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and treatment options Maintain accurate patient records and document clinical findings and treatment plans in accordance with hospital policies Comply with clinical guidelines, infection prevention standards, patient safety requirements, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Dentistry (BDS, DDS, DMD, or equivalent) Valid professional SCFHS classification and registration1+ years of experience as a practicing Dentist Healthcare or hospital experience is preferred
