Job description

We are seeking an experienced Project Control Manager with a strong background in Mechanical Engineering and extensive experience in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project planning, scheduling, cost control, progress monitoring, and performance reporting to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage project control activities across Oil & Gas and Petrochemical projects.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor project schedules, plans, and progress measurement systems.
  • Establish project baselines for cost, schedule, and performance monitoring.
  • Monitor project progress, identify delays, risks, and potential cost impacts.
  • Prepare project control reports, dashboards, KPIs, and performance analysis for management and clients.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineering, procurement, construction, and subcontractor teams.
  • Manage project forecasting, budgeting, cost tracking, and variance analysis.
  • Review and analyze contractors’ schedules, progress updates, and recovery plans.
  • Support project risk management and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with project control procedures, standards, and client requirements.
  • Lead project control teams and provide guidance to planners and cost engineers.


Skills

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.

Minimum 10+ years of experience in project controls, planning, or cost management.

Proven experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or EPC projects.

Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, cost control, and reporting methodologies.

Proficiency in project management tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, and ERP systems.

Experience with progress measurement, earned value management (EVM), and project forecasting.

Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI-SP, AACE, or equivalent are preferred.
