Role Description The Welding QCI with CBT (Freelancer) is a full-time, on-site role based in Jubail. The role involves conducting visual and technical inspection of welding activities, verifying weld quality against project specifications, international codes, and safety standards. The position includes reviewing welding procedures, coordinating with welding teams, and documenting inspection results, non-conformities, and corrective actions. The Welding QCI will perform qualification tests, support CBT-based training and assessment, and ensure proper handling of materials and welding equipment. Daily tasks also include liaising with supervisors and project engineers, maintaining accurate records, and supporting continuous improvement in welding practices and site safety.
Qualifications

Strong practical skills and inspection experience in Welding, including Arc Welding techniques. Hands-on expertise in TIG Welding and MIG Welding for various materials and joint configurations. Sound understanding of Materials properties, weldability, and appropriate selection for construction projects. Knowledge of relevant welding codes and standards (e.g., AWS, ASME, ISO) and quality control procedures. Experience in welding inspection, NDT coordination, and documentation of quality records and reports. Certification as a Welding Inspector or equivalent qualification is highly desirable. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols and communicate clearly with site teams. Commitment to safety, attention to detail, and ability to work in an on-site construction environment in Jubail.
