About the Hijazi Dialect Specialist AI Trainer Project

Meridial Marketplace is seeking Hijazi Dialect Specialist AI Trainers for a freelance/contract project based in Saudi Arabia. This role involves contributing high-quality training data to advance large-scale language models, enabling them to better serve Hijazi speakers through improved education, research, and communication tools. Role Overview

As a Hijazi Dialect Specialist AI Trainer, you will engage with advanced language models to refine their understanding and application of the Hijazi dialect. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying and rectifying model errors, ensuring factual accuracy, and suggesting improvements to training methodologies. This position offers an hourly rate of $6 to $65.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage in conversations with the AI model on various language scenarios.
• Verify the factual accuracy and logical coherence of model responses.
• Capture and document reproducible error traces for analysis.
• Propose enhancements to prompt engineering techniques and evaluation metrics.
• Challenge language models on specific linguistic phenomena such as verb conjugation, case systems, word order, declensions, gender agreement, and stylistic variations.
• Document all identified failure modes to strengthen model reasoning capabilities.

Qualifications and Experience

Ideal candidates will possess native-level fluency in the Hijazi dialect and a profound, practical understanding of its grammar, syntax, morphology, phonology, semantics, and pragmatics. While a bachelor's degree in Hijazi language, linguistics, or a related field is preferred, extensive experience in teaching, translation, or community-based linguistic projects can serve as a substitute. A key requirement is the ability to communicate clearly and metacognitively, demonstrating a systematic approach to problem-solving.
