PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Oversee the development and maintenance of commissioning, startup, and performance testing schedules.
- Ensure all planning activities align with project objectives and timelines.
- Provide regular progress updates and reports to project management and stakeholders.
- Generate “what-if” scenarios to anticipate potential project delays or changes.
- Develop impacted schedules and recovery plans to address any deviations from the project plan.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders, including engineering, procurement, and construction teams, to ensure schedule integrity.
- Conduct risk analysis and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
- Utilize planning software (Primavera P6, Power BI, etc.) to manage and track project schedules.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards.
Skills
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 10 years as a planning engineer, with at least 2 years in a lead planning engineer role.
- A Degree in BSc in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Expertise in power block systems and commissioning & start-up scheduling methodologies.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, risk analysis, Power BI, VB, DAX, and Excel.
- Strong analytical thinking and the capacity to manage complex timelines.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- The role may require extended hours to meet project deadlines.
- Work is primarily office-based but may include site visits to monitor project progress.
- The position demands a high level of coordination and communication with various project stakeholders.
- Must be able to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
