Many of the country’s highways, tunnels and bridges have been engineered and built by us, allowing the use of our in-house asphalt, concrete, plant, and machinery. For almost 50 years we have built a strong and loyal client base across both the public and private sectors whilst working on the UAE’s iconic projects We are expanding our Team in Saudi Arabia and are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor . The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the cost-effectiveness of our projects while maintaining high-quality standards. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost and procurement, providing accurate estimations, and monitoring project progress to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. key duties will be:
- Conducting cost estimates and preparing tender documents, budgets, and bills of quantities.
- Evaluating tenders and contracts to ensure they meet the company's requirements and standards.
- Managing procurement processes, including sourcing materials and subcontractors, negotiating prices, and maintaining supplier relationships.
- Monitoring project progress and costs, identifying potential risks and deviations from budgets, and proposing solutions to mitigate them.
- Conducting regular site visits and liaising with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to assess progress and resolve any cost-related issues.
- Providing financial reports and updates to project stakeholders, including cost variance analysis and forecasting.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including health and safety requirements.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 8-15 years of experience in quantity surveying, in construction/building projects.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
