Job Purpose Statement

• The purpose of this role is to record transactions and maintain registers relating to inventory and fixed assets.
• This role also requires the preparation of all tax schedules (VAT, WHT and Zakat) 

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Record and review all inventory MRS before 2nd working day of each succeeding month.
• Ensure that the quantity and cost of all items match with inventory records.
• Monitor inventory and fixed-asset clearing accounts.
• Ensure all FA pending in clearing account are capitalized at month end.
• Similarly, inventory clearing accounts should be cleared on a monthly basis.
• Create new items in FA module in an identifiable and verifiable manner.
• Run depreciation module by 2nd working day of each succeeding month.
• Identify all foreign payments during the month and report to tax consultants for WHT payment.
• Maintain consolidated schedule of foreign payment for Annual WHT filing.
• Prepare VAT schedules as required by VAT guidelines
• Obtain, compile and update occupancy data for monthly analytics, on 1st day of succeeding month.
• Prepare journals as instructed by Senior Accountant or Group Leader.
• Prepare payment requests for the department.
• Assist Sr. Accountant and Group Leader in preparation of audit schedules
• Notify contracts on ZTCA contracts portal.
• Perform any other adhoc task required by Group Leader.
