Job Position: Assistant Brand Manager
Location: Unilever House Jeddah – KSA
To know your target by channel by brand on a monthly base including your sales history.
Review promotions and make sure that there is no risk on them at all including having an approved budget and updated in the system, also to double check if there is any operational action that is needed such as promo listing or even having the AW on time, SAP allocation by customer.
To check your growth by channel and make sure that you are aligned with your target also to make sure that you have the right promo type and promo% by channel.
To know the contribution of the business by channel so you know your priority.
You know and understand your innovation for the full year and understand the level and support material that will come with this innovation.
Attending the innovation meeting and make sure that you are on top of the NW.
The innovation funnel and the Innovation process, so you make sure that you are managing your gates fully on time.
All the internal alignment with the other functions in the business like Customer Development, Supply Chain.. and etc
Having the sell plan for all your innovations and build it in the catch.
You build your Business case and align it with the Brand and finance teams.
Working on the deployment presentation and execution.
Sales & Operation:
You check your sales everyday and make sure that your numbers are coming and you keep tracking the movement of your promotions and you take an action if needed like when you have a left over for example.
You understand all the trade deals of your brand and how does it work such as Volume drive, RVS drive…etc
Visiting the market and make sure that your brand look exactly the way you want it on the shelf when it comes to planogram, quality of looking, prices…etc
- You know you mix by size and by variant.
You know your Operational Plan by brand.
You own your budget and manage it by the dot with making sure that you don’t go overspent.
You understand your P&L from top to bottom including your Gross margin.
You need always to come with solutions to improve the efficiency of your spending and improve your profitability.
Consumer & Market Understanding:
Full ability to use the CMI tools ( Retail Audit – WP online)
Understanding how does consumer perceive your brand and how healthy is your brand your status in the market like MS, WD, FWDS…etc
Enriching your knowledge in CMI as much as you can.
We really need to make sure that our job is not just to brief the agency and deliver the material and then we assume that the activity on ground will be perfect, so we must always visit our in store and out of store activations by ourselves and not just rely on the agency reports.
Always you need to manage the NW of your activity to make sure that it lands on time.
Briefing and aligning with CD team.
Managing the external parties like creative agencies, production, activation…etc
We make sure that all the DO are ready and our suppliers get their money.
You always check your P4 and make sure that you have the updated one.
Every month you make sure that the material for next month is ready with the media team to avoid any delay or going off air.
Minimum Bachelor degree
Relevant brand building experience with FMCG industries
