About the role:For a major, high-profile football tournament
Support the planning, installation, maintenance, and removal of temporary venue infrastructure required for a major football tournament. Assist the Overlay Infrastructure team in coordinating contractors, tracking progress, conducting site inspections, and ensuring all overlay elements are delivered on time and according to event requirements.
Key Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and supervise temporary civil works (“overlay”) such as access roads, utilities, fencing, structures, and site facilities Review technical drawings, specifications, and site conditions for constructability Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and government stakeholders Monitor site progress, quality, HSE compliance, and schedules Troubleshoot technical issues and support rapid on-site decision-making Ensure compliance with project standards and local regulations Support dismantling and reinstatement activities at project completion (if applicable)
Qualifications Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Event Management, or a related discipline.3–5 years of experience in infrastructure, construction, temporary overlay, or major event delivery. Experience supporting international sporting events, exhibitions, festivals, or large-scale temporary infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
Preferred Experience Experience delivering temporary infrastructure for FIFA, AFC, Olympic, Commonwealth, or other major international sporting events. Understanding of venue operations and event-time infrastructure management. Knowledge of temporary works, construction safety, and contractor management.
