Key Responsibilities

The Facilities Management Director leads the development and implementation of the company’s facilities management strategy and ensures that operational activities are aligned with business objectives and client requirements. The role oversees the delivery of integrated facilities management services, including maintenance, cleaning, security, landscaping, MEP services, technical services, and other soft and hard FM services.

The Director is responsible for ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of all facilities and assets, including preventive and corrective maintenance programs, asset lifecycle management, inspections, technical assessments, and planned maintenance activities. The role ensures that facilities remain operational, safe, compliant, and fit for purpose.

The role manages relationships with clients and ensures that contractual obligations, service levels, KPIs, and SLAs are consistently achieved. The Director acts as a senior point of contact for key clients, addresses operational concerns, provides performance updates, and develops long-term client relationships.

The Director oversees contractors, suppliers, and service providers, ensuring that all outsourced services are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements, quality standards, safety requirements, and agreed service levels. The role also supports contract negotiations, commercial reviews, and supplier performance management.

The Director ensures compliance with applicable health, safety, environmental, regulatory, and statutory requirements and establishes appropriate procedures for risk management, emergency response, business continuity, and operational safety.

The role is responsible for preparing and managing facilities management budgets, monitoring operational and capital expenditure, controlling costs, reviewing financial performance, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency while maintaining service quality.

The Director leads and develops the facilities management team, establishes performance objectives and KPIs, evaluates team performance, identifies development needs, and ensures that the organization has the appropriate capabilities and resources to deliver its services effectively.

The role drives sustainability, energy efficiency, resource optimization, and environmental initiatives across managed facilities and identifies opportunities to reduce operational costs and environmental impact.

The Director monitors operational performance through regular reports, dashboards, audits, inspections, and performance reviews and uses operational data to identify risks, improve service delivery, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
