Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, operate, maintain, and repair diesel generator sets.
• Perform preventive maintenance, including oil, filter, coolant, battery, belt, and fuel-system checks.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults in generators, ATS panels, control panels, and battery chargers.
• Ensure uninterrupted power supply for camp kitchens, accommodation, dining areas, cold rooms, and other catering equipment.
• Respond promptly to generator breakdowns and emergency power failures.
• Monitor generator running hours, fuel consumption, load levels, and maintenance schedules.
• Maintain daily inspection reports, service records, breakdown reports, and spare-parts records.
• Coordinate with the camp maintenance team and suppliers for major repairs and spare parts.
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and safe fuel-handling practices.
• Keep the generator room and work area clean, safe, and properly arranged.

Skills

Requirements

• Diploma/ITI in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Diesel Generator / Genset Technician.
• Experience with camp, catering, facility management, or industrial sites preferred.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, alternators, control panels, ATS, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently during breakdowns and emergency situations.
• Basic English communication and report-writing ability.
• Valid transferable Iqama preferred.
