Role: Infrastructure Engineer (Remote) Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere) Job Type: Contract Payout: $20 - $70/hour
Role Overview:We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to design, maintain, and optimize cloud and on-premises infrastructure systems. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, security, and scalability of critical systems. Candidates should have experience with modern infrastructure automation tools and cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities:• Build, deploy, and manage scalable infrastructure using cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi).• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.• Implement and enforce security best practices, including IAM, network policies, and compliance standards.• Automate repetitive tasks to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.• Work with development teams to optimize infrastructure for cost, performance, and scalability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and their core services.• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Cloud Formation, or Pulumi.• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or Power Shell.• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.• Understanding of networking concepts, including VPC, subnets, load balancers, and firewalls.• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.• Ability to design and implement disaster recovery and backup strategies.
