Job Details

  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and scope, facilitating accurate estimation of resources and timelines.
  • Research and evaluate labor, material, and overhead costs by consulting historical data and industry benchmarks to enhance estimation reliability.
  • Utilize advanced estimation software and tools to create comprehensive cost models, improving efficiency and accuracy in the estimation process.
  • Participate in value engineering sessions, suggesting alternatives that could reduce costs while maintaining quality and performance standards.
  • Conduct risk analysis to identify potential cost impacts associated with project uncertainties, providing strategies to mitigate financial risks.
  • Prepare and present detailed bid proposals and cost breakdowns to stakeholders, effectively communicating the rationale behind estimates.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost estimation within the construction or engineering sectors.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Estimating Professional (CEP) or equivalent are preferred.
  • Experience in handling large-scale projects, especially in the commercial or infrastructure domains, is a plus.
