This full-time opportunity for a Production Engineer contributes directly to Ma'aden's operational objectives.

Role Overview

The Engineer, Production is responsible for planning and coordinating the deployment and utilization of personnel, supplies, and equipment. This role ensures the efficient execution of mine operations while strictly adhering to statutory, safety, and environmental conditions and standards.

Resource and Extraction Planning

• Test the validity of minable resources through preliminary surveys conducted in collaboration with geologists.
• Determine the feasibility of ore extraction.
• Identify and determine suitable ore extraction methods, considering factors such as overburden depth, altitude, deposit characteristics, and surrounding strata.
• Plan and coordinate the effective use of labor, supplies, and equipment in line with efficiency targets, statutory regulations, safety protocols, and environmental conditions.

Engineering and Commercial Analysis

• Consult with geologists, metallurgists, and engineers regarding mining machines, facilities, systems, infrastructure, and environmental protection or restoration initiatives.
• Prepare comprehensive operating and project estimates.
• Assess the capital and operating viability of proposed projects.
• Control expenditure effectively throughout the production cycle.
• Participate in negotiations pertaining to mine purchases or investments.
• Analyze environmental sensitivities related to processes, waste management, chemical usage, environmental and cultural factors, and geopolitical considerations.

Reporting and HSE Compliance

• Analyze and compile monthly and yearly statistical production reports for management review and informational purposes.
• Monitor strict adherence to Ma'aden's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) programs, policies, and procedures.
• Provide guidance and recommendations to address unsafe or damaging work practices.
• Investigate incidents within the assigned work area and formulate appropriate recommendations or responses.
• Brief contractors on all applicable HSE regulations and requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Production Engineer position should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in a similar role within the mining industry.
