About the Role

ENGIE Solutions Middle East is seeking a Senior Road and Street Lighting Electrical Engineer to join our team in Al Ula, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role operates within the Facility Management Agent environment of Al Ula City Public Works, focusing on the planning, inspection, and auditing of electrical systems. The successful candidate will lead a team of engineers and ensure the integrity and compliance of public works and utility electrical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage contractors involved in civil works interfaces, road electrical infrastructure, and street lighting systems, providing technical guidance to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality project delivery.
• Oversee the planning, design review, installation, testing, operation, and maintenance of road electrical assets, including street lighting, feeder pillars, cabling, control panels, earthing, protection systems, and associated civil works.
• Conduct routine inspections, audits, and condition assessments of street lighting and road electrical infrastructure to verify safety, workmanship, asset integrity, performance, and compliance with statutory requirements.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies, preventive maintenance schedules, emergency response procedures, and rectification plans for road lighting networks and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Provide expert technical support for troubleshooting road electrical faults, lighting failures, cable damage, control system issues, and interface constraints between electrical installations and civil works.
• Promote continuous improvement, energy efficiency, safe work practices, and knowledge sharing in the management of public road lighting and electrical infrastructure.

Compliance and Oversight

This role involves managing third-party oversight and ensuring all works comply with applicable Saudi public works requirements, municipal regulations, the Saudi Road Code / Highway Code provisions, utility authority requirements, safety regulations, and approved project specifications. The Senior Engineer will also be responsible for preparing and presenting technical, operational, compliance, and performance reports covering road electrical assets, street lighting condition, defects, corrective actions, contractor performance, and regulatory compliance status.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess a strong background in electrical engineering, specifically within road and street lighting infrastructure. A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required for this position, demonstrating a proven ability to manage complex electrical systems and lead technical teams.
