Position Summary

Supply Castle Logistics is seeking a Customs Clearance & Customer Service Coordinator to join our team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This is a full-time, on-site position for candidates with 0-1 years of experience, focusing on managing customs clearance processes and maintaining direct customer communication.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire customs clearance process, from initial customer request through to final shipment clearance. This role requires significant direct interaction with customers on a daily basis, providing updates and resolving issues. It is essential for the coordinator to manage the clearance process independently while ensuring customers are consistently informed at every stage. This is not a back-office customs clearance position; direct customer engagement is a core requirement.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and review customers' customs clearance requests and documents, primarily via email.
• Communicate directly with customers throughout the entire clearance process, providing regular and timely updates.
• Prepare and process customs clearance transactions, ensuring all required documents are complete and accurate.
• Coordinate with customs authorities, customs platforms, shipping lines, agents, and other relevant parties.
• Continuously follow up on the status of each shipment and customs transaction.
• Proactively inform customers of any missing documents, issues, delays, customs requirements, or additional actions needed.
• Respond professionally and promptly to customer inquiries and requests.
• Follow up on customs declarations, payments, inspections, releases, and other requirements until final clearance.
• Handle clearance delays and problems, communicating the situation and proposed solutions clearly to the customer.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all customer communications and clearance activities are properly documented.
• Manage multiple customers and shipments simultaneously while adhering to required timelines.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience in Customs Clearance / Customs Brokerage.
• Good understanding of customs clearance procedures for Import and Export shipments.
• Good knowledge of * Codes and customs classification.
• Strong knowledge of customs documentation and clearance requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is advantageous.

Required Skills

• Proven ability to deal directly with customers and provide clear, timely updates.
• Strong email communication, customer handling, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and customers simultaneously.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet clearance deadlines.
• Experience with customs clearance systems and relevant logistics software is preferred.
