About Mindrift and the Tendem Project

Mindrift connects specialists with innovative technology projects, aiming to develop high-quality AI technologies by combining global expertise with advanced AI development efforts. We are seeking experienced Freelance Full-Stack Web App Developers to contribute to the Tendem project. This part-time, remote opportunity focuses on building interactive browser-based applications for real-world use cases, leveraging expertise in modern frontend frameworks, backend APIs, databases, and end-to-end web product development. Compensation for this role can be up to $60 per hour equivalent.

Key Responsibilities

As a Full-Stack Web App Developer on the Tendem project, you will design, build, and refine browser-based applications incorporating logic, state, persistence, and user input. This includes developing various tools such as habit trackers, budgeting tools, internal dashboards, mini-SaaS tools, and AI-powered applications. Responsibilities include:

• Building interactive web applications using modern frontend frameworks (React, ****, Vue, or similar) and backend APIs (Python/FastAPI/Flask or Node/Express).
• Designing and implementing data models, schemas, and persistence layers with SQL (PostgreSQL, SQLite) or NoSQL stores.
• Implementing authentication, sessions, and basic role-based access as needed.
• Integrating third-party APIs and AI/LLM services (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) into product features.
• Handling state management, user input validation, error states, and loading states cleanly.
• Developing standalone Python tools and scripts for tasks such as data processing, API clients, and lightweight backend utilities.
• Reviewing, debugging, optimizing, and refactoring full-stack applications to enhance correctness, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Writing clear, testable code and debugging end-to-end issues across frontend, backend, and database.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in full-stack web development or shipping interactive web applications.
• A strong foundation in full-stack web development, modern frontend frameworks, backend architecture, and building interactive browser-based applications end-to-end.
• Ability to confidently work across frontend, backend, databases, and APIs, design robust application logic, and build production-ready web applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to independently architect and ship complete features.
• A portfolio of shipped web applications.

Technical Skills

The role requires proficiency in the following technical areas:

• Strong command of JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one modern frontend framework (React, ****, Vue, Svelte, or similar).
• Solid backend experience in Python (FastAPI, Flask, Django) and/or **** (Express, NestJS).
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite) and basic schema design.
• Experience implementing REST APIs, request validation, error handling, and authentication flows.
• Familiarity with deployment platforms (Vercel, Netlify, Render, ***, Railway, or similar).
• Comfortable with version control (Git) and basic testing practices.
• Experience integrating LLM APIs or other AI services into product features is considered a strong advantage.

Educational Background and Project Scope

While not mandatory, a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical fields is a plus. Regarding project scope, tasks are estimated to require around 10–20 hours per week during active phases; this is an estimate and not a guaranteed workload. Compensation can reach up to $60 per hour equivalent, varying based on contribution level and project specifics.
