Job Title Maintenance MEP Technician.
Job Purpose The Maintenance MEP Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the organization's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems within the facilities. The role involves inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and installing MEP systems and equipment to ensure business continuity, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety standards.
Key Roles & Responsibilities Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems and equipment. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing systems, pumps, motors, lighting, control panels, water supply, and drainage systems. Diagnose faults and perform repairs to minimize equipment downtime. Install, replace, and upgrade MEP equipment and components as required. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new MEP systems during facility upgrades and expansion projects. Monitor the performance of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems and recommend improvements. Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and safety standards related to MEP maintenance. Maintain maintenance records and report equipment failures and completed work. Coordinate with contractors and suppliers when specialized maintenance is required. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests. Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE). Perform any other duties assigned by the direct manager.
Overall Qualifications Qualifications High School Diploma, Technical Diploma, or equivalent. Technical certification in MEP, Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, or Plumbing is preferred.
Work Experience5+ years of experience in facility maintenance, building maintenance, or MEP maintenance in commercial or industrial environments.
