Job Purpose: Under the direct supervision of the Communications Officer, the Graphic Designer will support with and ensure the production and maintenance of a wide array of visibility, multimedia, and communication materials in adherence to WFP’s branding guidelines and policy, leveraging expertise in design software.
Key Responsibilities (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive):
- Produce specific high quality internal documents including: reports, programme highlights, fact sheets, donor presentations and storytelling documents.
- Produce beneficiary information packages including: posters, leaflets, banners, and awareness videos.
- Produce high quality social media graphics, both static and animated in Arabic and English.
- Support donor visibility efforts through diverse media resources, including shop posters, distribution site posters, GIFs and e-cards.
- Photographic manipulation including restoration, noise reduction, re-shaping and tonal adjustments.
- Support creative design of the WFP external platforms.
- Provide clear and concise feedback for cooperating partners’ design content.
- Develop and maintain templates for all programme units’ requirements.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Skills
STANDARD MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Completion of secondary school education. Bachelor’s degree/ Certificate in Graphic Design, Audio-visual, Communications or other related fields is desirable.
Experience: At least six (6) years of experience in Graphic Design, communication Art or other related fields.
Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Arabic languages.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge and experience of core Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Advanced Knowledge in the following design software: Adobe Suite, including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe After Effects and Microsoft Office Publisher.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge in printing processes and working with relevant printing suppliers
- Experience in social media and content creation is a plus
- Experience working in a humanitarian setting is a plus
