Your responsibilities will encompass the following key areas:
Project Document Review:
- Review and study all project documents, including Conditions of Contract, B.O.Q, specifications, and drawings, ensuring a thorough understanding of project requirements.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to clarify any ambiguities and ensure accurate interpretation of project specifications.
Supplier and Subcontractor Coordination:
- Follow up with the junior cost estimator to maintain and establish a log for all suppliers and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with the junior cost estimator to prepare complete packages with full details for subcontractors, addressing queries promptly.
Quotation Revision:
- Revise quotations received from subcontractors to ensure compliance with the project’s B.O.Q, specifications, drawings, and manufacturers list.
- Collaborate with subcontractors to address any discrepancies and ensure accurate and competitive bids.
Breakdown Sheets & Cost Analysis:
- Prepare breakdown sheets and conduct a comprehensive cost analysis to ensure accurate estimation of project costs.
- Collaborate with the finance team to align cost estimates with financial parameters and organizational objectives.
Value Engineering Proposals:
- Prepare value engineering proposals, offering innovative and cost-effective alternatives to enhance project efficiency.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to incorporate viable value engineering proposals into the tender.
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and attributes:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Accumulative Grade must not be less than Good.)4-7 years of experience in electrical tendering and estimation.Excellent usage of AutoCAD and MS Office.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
