The ideal candidate should have a strong background in creating and customizing WordPress websites, themes, and plugins. As a WordPress Developer at VOCTOS, you will be responsible for building and maintaining high-performance websites that align with our clients' business objectives. The perfect candidate would be ready to work in a fast-paced, fun environment, where collaboration between teams is key to our combined success, and having a passion for achieving tangible results for colleagues and clients is a must. You will be working on multiple projects and should be comfortable with a changeable workload and be able to organize and priorities accordingly.  Responsibilities will include:Designing and implementing custom WordPress themes from scratch or modifying existing themes to meet client requirements.Developing and customizing WordPress plugins to enhance website functionality.Collaborating with the design and marketing teams to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality.Conducting thorough testing of websites to identify and fix any bugs or issues.Keeping up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in WordPress development.Providing technical support and troubleshooting for clients and internal teams.Collaborating with other developers and team members to achieve project goals.Develop new features and upgrade/refactor existing solutions as needed.Researches and remains knowledgeable and up-to-date of new WordPress features and best practices.Implements external access to and transactions with other systems using application programming interfaces (API, script/batch interfaces or electronic commerce solutions). Requirements:Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with a strong portfolio of past projects.In-depth knowledge of WordPress CMS, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.Experience in developing custom themes and plugins for WordPress.Strong understanding of responsive web design principles.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work. The ideal candidate:Have a minimum of +2 years of experience.Experience with e-commerce platforms and integrations.Familiarity with SEO best practices.Knowledge of website security best practices.Experience with version control systems, such as Git. As well as:Good commercial awarenessExcellent communication skillsBe quick to build rapport.Have great presentation skills.A calm organized and systematic mindset.Fast learner – you love a challenge and don't need to be told the same thing twice.Strong work ethic – you genuinely care about our client's project outcomes.A commitment to your own personal and professional development Working in a role that you enjoy isn’t the only perk you’ll receive at Voctos.
