Job Description
Location: Riyadh, SA Field Service Engineer X-Ray - Middle East and North & Central Africa This position performs technical service support on Agfa and 3rd party products, for end customers and service channels, in Middle East and North and Central Africa. This person is based in Middle-East. He/she reports to the Team Lead Middle East and North & Central Africa. Responsibilities = DIRECT CUSTOMER CONTACT / ESCALATIONS / SUB-REGIONAL Representative Activities:<br/><br/>Performs complex installations of mobile and stationary X-ray equipment (Agfa and 3rd party products), from start to finish, including project management. Troubleshoots issues on-site and remotely Performs preventive/corrective maintenance Requires extensive travelling in Middle East and N&C Africa, and to Europe for training Assists internal and external customers (e.g. user, dealer engineers, colleagues) on technical questions, procedures, and issues Timely escalates, when necessary, technical problems to GSN support, according to the proper procedures, and commercial problems to the sales team. Knowledge transfer: provides on-the-job training to dealer engineers Principal Accountabilities Accountability for timely handling of issues, according to Agfa guidelines and best practice procedures Accountability for customer satisfaction on project implementation and issue handling Accountability for being knowledgeable and up-to-date on latest Agfa Radiology products & solutions Accountability for meeting customer requirements within the scope of the SLA Scope Variants Repair and fix Installation / Integration Train the customer First to install new equipment 2nd line support, assist other (distributor) engineers Handling escalation towards GSN global support Installation Project skills Assess project risks and feasibility, identify dependencies and platform requirements Communicate effectively with a diverse set of customers or partners, across multiple disciplines. Multiple countries (Middle East + North & Central Africa). Education Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technology field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant healthcare experience. Experience Several years of previous direct field work experience in a technical customer support or field engineer role working with traditional x-ray rooms, digital x-ray equipment and rooms, and computed radiography (CR) systems. Experience as an expert or specialist level role with x-ray technology is highly desired.
