Procurement Engineer

  • We are seeking a motivated and experienced Procurement Engineer to join our dynamic team.
  • The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for our projects.
  • The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, negotiating contracts, and optimizing the procurement process.

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering Proven experience as a Procurement Engineer or in a similar role.  
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to secure favorable terms.  
  • Familiarity with relevant procurement software and tools.  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.  
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.  
  • The person has previous experience working on projects for Aramco.
  • Skills Ability to identify cost reduction opportunities Holding expertise in understanding technical requirements and specifications through project documents.
  • Proven professional experience in procurement engineering and handling multiple aspects of the project for its successful execution.
  • Remarkable verbal and written skills to handle organizational interactions with suppliers, clients, and employees.
  • Reviews / assesses technical specifications and drawings to determine suitable vendors and suppliers. 
  • Ensures that all potential suppliers are provided with identical information upon which the quotations are given equal opportunity to meet the desired requirements.
  • Negotiates the best payment terms and contract conditions, maintaining high level of integrity.  
  • Knowledge and direct experience in negotiating contracts and quotations with Vendors and Suppliers.
  • Knowledge in operations, services and activities of a procurement administration program.
  • Knowledge in principles and practices of materials management and inventory control.
  • Knowledge on Building Specifications and Bill of Quantities.
  • Knowledge of Contract Law.
  • Negotiation Skills.
  • Knowledge in applicable financial computer software applications.
  • Knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors).
