Job Summary: We are seeking a Downstream Chemical Engineer with experience in chemicals, mainly in olefins, aromatics, and synthetic rubber manufacturing to join our Affiliates Manufacturing Excellence Department (AMED). AMED is a multifunctional business unit and a front office setup to oversee This Company Affiliates operational performance, manage HSSE, and facilitate driving manufacturing excellence across the portfolio. Your primary role will be to provide technical expertise in conducting benchmarking and analyzing the performance of Global Manufacturing chemicals assets. You will also be expected to provide support in closing the performance gaps identified in the benchmarking process. Responsibilities:
  1. Analyze chemical assets economics to find optimization opportunities.
  2. Conduct studies to improve global manufacturing operations.
  3. Review and confirm the competitive status of global manufacturing assets.
  4. Advise management on chemical asset performance.
  5. Lead the development of solutions for identified performance gaps.
  6. Create plans to optimize expenses and margins for manufacturing assets.
  7. Coordinate with asset owners to set and monitor performance targets.
  8. Evaluate the future impact of planned capital improvements.
Requirements:
  • This role requires candidates to permanently relocate to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in chemical process units with at least 5 years as an asset economist.
  • Working knowledge of chemicals industry process plant characteristics is essential.
  • Ability to facilitate technical discussions and influence various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and data visualization tools is required.
