We are one of the most profitable companies in the world, as well as amongst the top five global companies by market capitalization.OverviewWe are seeking a Regulatory Analyst with a strong background in power, energy or utilities sectors to join our Integrated Resource Planning Division (IRSPD). IRSPD represents the company in the Electricity Co-generation regulatory authority (ECRA) and provides support related to electricity sector regulations. We manage and represent long term plan initiatives with various stakeholders. Your primary will be to advise and support Saudi Aramco compliance with electricity regulatory mandates. You will be also responsible for enhancing national regulations with internal and external stakeholders including regulators, government, transmission and distribution network operators in order to improve reliability, competitiveness and transparency in the energy sector. In addition, you will be involved in an electricity market reform including the establishment of a bilateral contract market.Key ResponsibilitiesAs the successful candidate you will required to perform the following: Assure Saudi Aramco compliance to cogeneration and water laws, electrical regulations and codes. Lead Saudi Aramco coordination and communication with national regulators, utilities, government and business partners to enhance existing regulations and develop new ones aiming to increase reliability, competitiveness and fairness in the energy sector. Participate in an electricity market reform including utility restructuring, establishment of bilateral contract and competitive electricity markets. Lead initiatives in relation to electricity regulations at national level including transmission and distribution codes, electricity tariff, and transmission use of systems (TUoS). Develop and update Company standards and specifications for electricity regulations related matters. Monitor compliance of Saudi Aramco cogeneration license requirements including administration of corporate cogeneration performance data and audit by the regulator. Secure new licenses for Saudi Aramco business needs such as new generation and trading licenses. Perform techno-economic analysis to evaluate the best option of electricity tariff, TUoS and sale of excess power for Saudi Aramco facilities.Minimum RequirementsYou must hold a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized and approved program. A Master's Degree or professional registration (P.E. CEng or equivalent) in the field of power systems is desirable. You will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in electricity regulations, electricity markets and operation, operation of transmission and distribution networks, or grid code compliance. You should possess a strong knowledge of engineering practices, economic principles, analytic and research skills.
