• Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, smartphones, software deployment, security updates, and patches
• Carrying out routine configuration and installation of IT solutions and equipment
• Managing backup and security
• Maintain and administer Web server and middleware tools
• Investigating and diagnosing network problems, collecting usage stats
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity, availability and performance of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying the completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
• Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions
• Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off-site as necessary
• Create, change, and delete user accounts per request
• Provide Tier 2, Tier 3 and other support per request from. Investigate and troubleshoot issues
• Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with

impacted parties

• Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities
• Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning
• Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
• Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
• Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment
• Support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems
• Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users
• Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security
• Ensure network connectivity throughout a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations
• Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers
• Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, intrusion detection systems
• Operate and maintain company’s telecommunication infrastructure; telephones and systems
• Partner with business users to evaluate, select, and implement 3rd party tools as needed
• Act as a subject matter expert for assigned systems
• Communicate with business users within all levels of the organization
